The Edo-Tokyo Museum in Tokyo acquires and stores all kinds of materials related to the history and culture of Edo-Tokyo in order to pass them on to the future. The Museum also conducts research on a variety of information contained in these materials and presents the results in public exhibitions.
This exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to view some materials newly acquired by the Museum. In 2018, a total of 1807 items, including donated items, were successfully added to the Museum’s collection. We would like to sincerely thank all those who donated materials. Here we present some carefully selected acquisitions.
